Meet Pongchat

Hi, I am Pongchat. I was born in Bangkok and spent many years working as a private driver for large international companies. Those years taught me the importance of professionalism, patience, and creating a welcoming experience for every person I meet.

In 2012, my family and I moved to Chiang Mai. What began as a change of scenery quickly became a change of heart. The mountains, the temples, the calm pace of life, and the warmth of the people made this place feel like home in a way I had never expected. Today, Chiang Mai is not just where I live. It is where I feel most connected, most grounded, and most grateful.

I share this life with my wife, Rung, whose name means Rainbow. She is the heart of our family and shares a deep love for cooking, something we enjoy together whenever we can. She now has a small restaurant in our village, and her kindness and creativity are a daily reminder of what it means to care for others. We are also proud parents to two wonderful daughters, MaPrang and Mameaw, who bring joy, laughter, and meaning to everything we do.

My work as a private driver grew naturally from my love for people, travel, and sharing the beauty of Northern Thailand. I do not think of myself only as a driver. I am here to help you experience Chiang Mai in a way that feels relaxed, personal, and memorable. I walk with you, offer gentle guidance, help you navigate the temples and viewpoints, and make sure you feel cared for throughout the day. I want you to feel as if you are exploring with a friend who knows the area well and who is always watching to make sure the day unfolds smoothly for you.

Every guest is different and every journey has its own feeling. Some people want time for quiet moments. Some want help taking beautiful photographs. Some want stories, food recommendations, or simply an unhurried day with no pressure. My role is to sense these things and shape the experience in a way that feels natural and comfortable.

I believe a great tour is not only about the places you visit. It is about how you feel while you are there. The right pace, the right timing, the right support, and the right company can turn a simple day trip into a meaningful memory. This is what I try to create for every guest who travels with me.

I offer many tours and experiences, but if you do not see exactly what you are looking for, I am always happy to create something custom. Maybe you have a special interest. Maybe you want to avoid the crowds. Maybe you want to visit a village, a viewpoint, or a temple that is not on a typical route. Whatever you hope to experience, I will do my best to make it possible.
